EC Sustainable was formed in 1996 in Australia as a partnership between
Chris Rochfort and Eric Love. Each founding principal brought extensive
experience in the waste management, resource recovery, horticulture
and marketing sectors. The organisation remains at the forefront of diverting
waste materials from landfill and achieving resource recovery, providing a
wide range of research, data generation, strategic advice and assessments.

In 2002 EC Sustainable created a sustainability and auditing division managed by
Kevin Morgan to offer broader energy, waste and water services to an expanding
corporate and government client base. Around this time, EC Sustainable became a
leader in waste composition and characterisation research.

In 2005 the EC International division was formed to work specifically on trade, technology transfer and business matching for domestic and international public and private sector clients.

In the late 2000’s EC Sustainable took our core business waste and sustainability advice services overseas to the UK and North America.

Now headed by Eric Love, Christopher Rochfort and Kevin Morgan, EC Sustainable is one of Australia’s leading sustainability and resource recovery consultancies working with public and private sector clients throughout Australia and internationally.

Over the years, EC Sustainable has gained the services of key personnel:

Today the organisation has a significant number of other qualified sustainability consulting, waste auditing and operational personnel with over 20 staff operating in Australia, the UK and North America. Our multi-cultural backgrounds and family origins are key aspects of our company culture.
