Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo
EC Sustainable staff attended the Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE) held from 12-13 August 2015 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Staff attended to keep up to date with the latest waste and recycling systems and technologies, network with clients and meet new contacts.
The Conference program included:
– international and national keynote presentations
– two comprehensive workshops on leachate management and prevention/management of fires in waste handling
– technical tours
– concurrent streams on topics such as: landfill planning/development and approvals
– transfer station operations and developments
– improving rural operations and facilities
– stakeholder engagement
– and landfill gas emissions reduction
Staff found the event informative and a great opportunity to network and look forward to getting in touch with everyone they met.
