Community consultation for waste management services

Lane Cove Council sought the assistance of EC Sustainable’s waste management and social research teams to facilitate the gathering of resident feedback on Council’s domestic waste collection services. Council required research approaches that allow residents to easily provide input to future service options.

The process included:

• Research and review of existing information.
• Development, implementation and evaluation of resident survey instrument
• Qualitative research through:
  • community workshops
  • focus groups
• Providing a report highlighting all relevant survey data, resident feedback with recommendations.
