• Ensure that health and safety is considered as an integral responsibility in all decision-making activities through effective planning, hazard identification and communication and implementation of written procedures and instructions.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and current “state of knowledge” standards.
• Provide employees, contractors and members with regular information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure their ongoing safety.
• Involve staff in decision-making processes through consultation, communication and education/ training.
• Provide support mechanisms, which will assist employees with maintaining or improving their psychological and physical health.
