Waste Sorter and Auditor – Sydney area

We have a number of waste sorter and waste auditor positions available. These are mainly hands on and physical roles. Experience in handling waste is preferred and general literacy is important. Computer literacy is desirable but not essential.

Job Description

The role involves:

• Waste and recycling sorting and bin surveys (~90% of task).
• Data entry and basic data analysis (~10% of task).
• Application of initiative.
• Teamwork.
• Regular travel nationally (some weekends away).
• Safety awareness and site management.
• Vehicle driving (automatic and manual vehicles).
• Liaise with clients and members of public.

The successful candidate will be:

• Available to travel across NSW and interstate (generally spending two weeks away at a time).
• Wanting a career in the waste and recycling industry.
• Able to work as a team.
• Keen for physical manual work.
• Accepting of early starts, late finishes and/or flexible hours around projects.
• Willing to travel nationally (paid travel).
• Holding a full driver’s license. Ability to drive a manual vehicle – essential. Experience in driving light trucks – desirable.
• Strong in general literacy (spelling and communication).
• Computer literate and able to enter data (preferred).
• Holding a valid WHS card and first aid certificate (preferred but not essential prior to selection).
• Able to follow all company policies and procedures.

The role will be casual but with full-time equivalent hours by year with overtime potential. The hours will vary per week. Please email your CV at info@ecsustainable.com.
